We have spring fever!!! We have been stuck inside too much this winter. There have been a few real nice days and have enjoyed getting out a bit. Isaac still wants to go out fully dressed for a snowstorm with snowpants and gloves but Tess is fine with no jacket and only one shoe!

SHARING
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1.I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. I may bake you something and mail it to you. It may not be big or impressive. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! Keep in mind I am not that talented. So come on, sign up!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling you they want to participate will receive someting from you this year.

Why did the chicken cross the road?
Katie's 1st grade class is hatching chicks and my kids are fascinated!
For 3 days now that is all that I have heard about. Yesterday I took the kids down to see what this is all about and I have to admit, it was pretty cool. The first chick out had hatched that morning and 2 more had made their way into this world by the time we had gone home. Two more hatched this morning. Katie, with tears in her eyes, last night said "I feel like I was there when new things were being created". She is definatly related to Grandma Shepherd.
First thing this morning Isaac was dressed and waiting by the door to go see the baby chicks. Mrs. Dunaway let the kids all hold a fuzzy little baby to have pictures taken.
Katie is so taken with the babies that she can hardly stand to leave the class at night. This takes me back to our occasional trips to the Animal Ark to see the puppies and kittens. She would cry the whole way home and then some. PLEEEASE, CAN I JUST TAKE ONE LITTLE ONE HOME WITH ME!!! They can have Magnus! PLEEEASE!!!!
After school as I was buckling Isaac into the van at last he looked at me with a big smile and said, "Mom, why did the chicken cross the road?"

Tonight we went to Hannah's concert. It was fun to see how much these kids have grown in talent and confidence. Hannah played in a trio. They played a piece called Fiddles On Fire and they sounded great!

Happy February!
I keep waiting to take some photos to post but that has not happened..obviously. Life has been a little crazy since Christmas. On New Year's eve and day Ryan interviewed with Robert Workman. He was hired as COO of Provo craft's humanitarian organization and has just returned from his first trip to the Congo.
www.tifie.org/organization.html
Check out the exciting life that he lives now!
His trip was amazing and he was impacted by the living conditions and orphans and everything he saw. He looks forward to going back and wants to take the whole family this summer to live and work. Does anyone want to come with us? They will be building a larger orphanage and I guess we will help with that. They are located not far from Kinshasha where there are 60,000 orphans living on the streets. They take care of 30 kids and want to increase that.
Since Ryan is working from Spanish Fork week we needed a 2nd car so he picked one up..he won't let me drive it though! www.dodge.com/en/2008/magnum/gallery/
We thought that this year would bring lots of change. we knew we would be moving...but not back to Utah county, we were looking forward to having Ryan come home...but didn't want to send him off again so soon, we knew that we would work internationally...but...AFRICA!!!!!!!
I guess that I should the advice from Dan in Real Life, Expect to be surprised.
We were wondering if we could get people together for a reunion at the Tifie ranch this summer. This means both the Palmers and the Shepherds... but not at the same time!!! http://www.tifie.org/tifie_ranch.html
Just leave a note or call if you are interested.
